Troubleshooting
“No radio answered at this address”
The radio may be off, asleep, on a different network, or using a changed address. Confirm the address on the radio, and make sure your Apple device is on the same network — not cellular data, a VPN that captures local traffic, or an isolated guest network.
“The radio rejected the user name or password”
Re-enter the radio’s own network credentials. They are not a Mona Radio account. For the IC-705, each must be exactly 16 letters or digits.
“The radio is still releasing a previous session”
Some radios hold a session briefly after a client disconnects and may allow only one network session at a time. Disconnect other clients, wait a moment, and try again.
I declined the Local Network prompt
Turn Local Network access back on for Mona Radio. On iPhone and iPad, use Settings › Privacy & Security › Local Network. On Mac, use System Settings › Privacy & Security › Local Network.
The connection drops or keeps reconnecting
Check the radio’s Wi-Fi signal, reduce distance to the access point, and avoid networks that isolate or aggressively sleep devices. If the link still does not recover, disconnect in Mona Radio, quit the app, power-cycle the radio, and connect again.
No audio, or the spectrum is not moving
Check device volume and the selected audio route. A limited or interrupted status can mean the control link is active while part of the stream is unavailable. Wait briefly, then disconnect and reconnect if needed. Some radios do not provide a spectrum at all; see Supported Radios.
Does Mona Radio support my radio?
See Supported Radios for every radio, how it connects, and which devices it is available on. Control and transmit capabilities vary by radio model and validation status.
